Search Engine Marketing Analyst
In this crucial role, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities including developing cutting edge SEO strategies, competitor analysis, and project management. This is an opportunity for an SEO expert to have a major impact on the business. We are looking for someone who is not just smart and dynamic but also has the passion and ability to grow with the company.
Responsibilities include:
- Grow our keyword portfolio, manage the program with potentially millions of keywords and find new search venues to advertise in.
- Optimize our keywords portfolio through testing with ad copy, landing pages, bidding strategies, negative keywording, etc.
- Track, report, and analyze your PPC initiatives and campaigns.
- Create business requirements for engineering as well as develop your own solutions to improve our search engine marketing process.
- Stay current with new advances in search engine marketing and the competitive landscape.
- Grow and manage our presence on non-affiliate comparison shopping engines such as Pricegrabber and Google Product Search.
You will work closely with our technology team to support new site initiatives, and the executive committee to formulate and achieve quarterly traffic and financial targets.
What are we looking for?
Required:
- Minimum 2 years SEO experience
- Statistics background
- Experience managing PPC campaigns across Google, Yahoo, and MSN.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and programming (eg, Python, Java).
- Self -learner and a passion for search engine marketing.
- Good grasp of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work within a marketing team, and other departments.
- Savvy with social media trends including Facebook, Twitter, MySpace.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written skills.
Preferred:
- Web analytics experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Coremetrics, etc.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative, test-driven field (economics, market research, science, etc.)
